No Alternatives for Netbeans

Seems Ubuntu (or actually Kubuntu in my case) knows best what IDE developers should use. I just finished installing Netbeans 5.5.1 on my machine with the usual apt-* tools and the install log was kind to inform me:

...
Setting up netbeans5.5-platform (5.5.1-2) ...
Setting up netbeans5.5 (5.5.1-2) ...
No alternatives for netbeans.
Seems I'll have to drop Eclipse then.

Starting all over, again

BuggyBrain.com has been re-done numerous times already, moving from server to server, cleaning content, starting all over. Same happened again now, when keeping the blog software up-to-date and keeping spam comments off the page got to be a bit too much work. I still want to blog, but need a solution which "just works".

Here I am then, using another one of Google's gadgets, having Blogger manage my blog and deal with all the nasty stuff I had to. All I have to think of now is the content, which will be pretty plenty with the current job I'm in.

Search engine, Reader, Calendar, GMail, Blogger... nah, I'm not a Google addict!
